brake caliper guide bar

Recommended lubricant

Lithium-soap-based grease

Do not allow grease to contact the brake
pads.

Remove any excess grease.

7. Install:

brake pad bolt

22 Nm (2.2 m • kg, 15.9 ft • lb)

brake caliper bolt

35 Nm (3.5 m • kg, 23.5 ft • lb)

8. Check:

brake fluid level

Below the MIN level mark

Add the

recommended brake fluid to the proper
level.
Refer to “CHECKING THE BRAKE FLUID
LEVEL” in chapter 3.

9. Check:

brake lever operation

Soft or spongy feeling

Bleed the brake

system.
