CHAIN GUIDE

1. Check:

• Timing chain

Damage/stiffness

→

Replace the timing

chain and camshaft sprocket as a set.

2. Check:

• Timing chain guide (intake side)

Damage/wear

→

Replace.

1. Measure:

• Crankshaft runout

Out of specification

→

Replace the crank-

shaft.

TIP

Turn the crankshaft slowly.

2. Measure:

• Big end side clearance

Out of specification

Replace the crank-

shaft.

3. Measure:

• Crankshaft width

Out of specification

→

Replace the crank-

shaft.

4. Check:

• Crankshaft sprocket “1”

Damage/wear

Replace the crankshaft.

• Bearings “2”

Cracks/damage/wear
