1. Bulb and bulb socket
S
Check the bulb and bulb socket for continu-
ity.
Replace the bulb and / or bulb socket.

NO CONTINUITY
2. Fuel sender
S
Drain the fuel and remove the fuel sender
from the fuel tank.
S
Disconnect the fuel sender coupler from the
wire harness.
S
Connect the pocket tester (
Ω
1) to the
fuel sender.

SPECIFICATION
3. Fuel meter
S
Drain the fuel and remove the fuel sender
from the fuel tank.
S
Connect the fuel sender to wireharness.
S
Move the float to “UP” or “DOWN” .
Replace the fuel sender.
OUT OF SPECIFICATION
Replace the fuel meter.
DOES NOT MOVE

Tester (–) lead Black terminal

Measure the fuel sender resistance.

Turn the main switch to “ON”.
S
Check the fuel gauge needle moves “F” or
“E”.

Check the fuel sender for continuity.

Connect the pocket tester (
Ω
1) to the
fuel sender.

NOTE:
Before reading the meter, stay put the float for
more than three minutes respectively at “UP” or
“DOWN”.
