RECOIL STARTER DISASSEMBLY
1. Remove:
• Starter handle

NOTE:
Make a knot

at the end of the starter rope to
prevent the rope from being retracted into the
starter case. Then, undo the knot

• Drum sheave

CAUTION:
Be sure to press down on the drum sheave,
because the spring will spring out sud-
denly when it is removed from the sheave
drum.
