Electrode lifetime
The expected lifetime of the electrodes is dependent of the application. The lifetime is
given with reservation as the physical conditions as well as the temperature,
pressure and the characteristics of the measured liquid have great influence on the
stated lifetime.
The lifetime is based on
77° F / 25° C
, but if the temperature is doubled, the lifetime is
halved in worst case!
pH electrodes in water or wastewater treatment plant lasts approximately one year,
whereas the lifetime of pH electrodes in industrial plants is dependent on the
application and the process. Redox electrodes have a lifetime of approximately two
years, depending on the application and the cleaning intervals.
