1.2.5 Installing an XVME-956/3 onto an XVME-PC/AT Module
The XVME-956/3
is
a "standoff assembly" which allows installation o f one expansion module on an
XVME-PC/AT. Refer to Figure 1-3 and use the following steps to assemble the standoff:
1. R e m o v e the three metal screws labeled "1", "2", and "3" from the standoffs on 956. (See Figure
1-5)
2. L i n e up the three standoffs on the XVME-956/3 with the three holes on the XVME-PC/AT. (See
Figure 1-3).
3. I n s t a l l the three metal screws that were removed in Step 1.
4. R e m o v e the metal screw labeled "4" from the standoff assembly that came with the 956/3 kit.
5. I n s t a l l the standoff assembly to the XVME-PC/AT. Bring the screw through from the solder side.
The standoff must be on the component side of the board.
6. R e f e r to Section 1.3.3 for type A Module assembly and 1.3.4 for type B Module assembly.
