3. Load the documents face down with their tops into the Automatic Document Feeder.
Scan from the Front or Rear Feed Tray
When scanning small pages such as Business Cards, we recommend using the front feed.
Note:
You can only load items into the scanner from either the feed trays or the automatic
document feeder (ADF) at each scan time. The scanner will jam if you load paper into the ADF
after an item has already been placed into one of the feed trays.
1. Open the front-feed tray.
2. Place an item face up, on the front or rear feed tray, aligned to the registration marks on the
tray and insert it into the scanner.
