Display illumination
with battery operation
To save the batteries, the meter has a switchoff function for the display
illumination that can be switched on and off (see section 4.3.2).
Note
You can carry out measurements without the power pack. The func-
tions of the integrated printer*, however, can only be used if the power
pack is connected.
3.3
Initial commissioning
Perform the following activities:

For line-powered operation and charging the batteries: Connect the
power pack (see section 3.2 P
OWER
SUPPLY
).
!
Switch on the meter (see section 4.1)
!
Set the language (see section 4.2.3)
!
Set the date and time (see section 4.2.4)
Note
When you set the language, date and time according to the mentioned
sections of this operating manual you will quickly be familiar with the
simple operation of the inoLab pH/ION 735.

Connect the plug (1) to the socket (2) of the meter.

Connect the original WTW power pack (3) to an easily
accessible power socket.
