5.5 Visual inspection
Make sure that the UV-unit is in standby mode and the signal LED is fl ashing green.
5.6 Operating modes
5.6.1 Standby mode
As soon as the power supply is guaranteed, the UV-unit is in standby mode. This can be recognized by the green
fl ashing signal LED on the front of the housing (see also
chapter Signal messages (p.53)).
5.6.2 Operating mode
If water is requested via a tap, the UV-unit switches on simultaneously and disinfects the water fl owing through.
The signal LED lights up green.
5.6.3 Reserve mode
100 operating hours before reaching the end of the product‘s life, the UV-unit‘s service life monitoring system
signals this with the signal horn as well as with the signal LED. After acknowledgement of the signal message
(see
chapter Signal messages (p.53)), the signal LED fl ashes alternately red and green. After a further 100
hours the UV-unit has reached the end of its life and must be disposed of accordingly (see
chapter Disposal
(p.56)).
5.7 Signal horn
The signal horn indicates either an error or a warning. Therefore, stop water extraction immediately when the
signal horn sounds. Go to the UV-unit and interpret the cause of the signal horn via the signal evaluation of the
signal LED. Please also observe the
chapter Troubleshooting and error rectifi cation (p.53).
5.8 Overwintering
In winter and at temperatures below zero, ensure that the water in the UV-unit and in the entire water system
does not freeze. If this can not be guaranteed, open all water consumers/fi ttings and let the pump run until no
more water comes out of the consumers/fi ttings. To be on the safe side, remove the hose on the water inlet side
to the UV-unit so that any water residue can run out (image 20 and/or
4.3.4 Disconnecting plug-in connectors
(p.48)). To do this, place a towel or a container under the UV-unit.
