Any other or further use is considered as improper use and is a misuse of the product. The manufacturer is not
liable for any damage resulting from such misuse; the risk of such damage is borne solely by the operator. The
operational safety of the product is only guaranteed if it is used for its intended purpose. Hazards may occur if
the product is used contrary to its intended purpose.
2.7 Risks
The UV-unit ensures fully automatic disinfection of the water. However, there is a risk that the disinfection perfor-
mance will be lower if turbid water or water loaded with dirt particles is to be disinfected. In addition, introduced
contaminants can infl uence the radiation intensity if they are deposited in front of the light source. Depending on
the water quality and the temperature of the water before the UV-unit (e.g. in the fresh water tank or in the pipe
system) as well as in the pipes after the UV-unit a germination/re-germination of the water can also occur.
2.7.1 Risk reduction in general
The water to be disinfected must not exceed a turbidity value of 1 NTU. This can be achieved with a fi ltration
before the UV-unit. In the
chapter Cleaning (p.55) you will fi nd the recommended cleaning intervals.

2.7.2 Risk reduction in fresh water systems
To eliminate these risks, we recommend preserving the water (e.g. with the SilverNet)
, which extends over
the entire fresh water system. Image 1 shows a practical example of how the fresh water system with built-in
UV-unit (disinfection)
and activated carbon fi lter for pre-fi ltration and pollutant removal
can be operated
in a holistically hygienic manner. A system cleaning/disinfection at least once a year rounds off the hygienic
operation excellently (see also
chapter Cleaning p.55)).
2.7.3 Warning and disturbance signals
The UV-unit emits various warnings and error messages, both visually and acoustically. For signals from the
lamp and alarm indicator, see
chapter Signal messages (p.53).
