4.3.5 Power Supply
Information!
•
Without experience of electrical installations in the low-voltage range, the installation must
be carried out by a qualified electrician (see also
chapter Minimum qualifications for
handling the product (p.35))
•
For the operation of the UV-unit a voltage connexion for the electrical power supply and a
sufficiently dimensioned connection cable with external fuse protection is required.
•
Connection lines and cables must be laid in such a way that there is no risk of tripping.
•
The local mains voltage must match the data of the UV-unit.
•
The specifications related to the protection of the power supply must be observed.
•
After the mains connection the mains voltage must be checked.
4.3.6 Electrical connection
a. Signal provided by pump
1.
Make sure that the fuses of all relevant circuits (power supply UV-unit, pump etc.) have been removed.
2.
Use the table 17 to connect the 3 wires (strands) of the UV-unit to the supply voltage and to
the pump using the wire-tap connectors included in the scope of delivery (images 15 and 16).
Always observe the electrical connection plan (image 14).
3.
Plug in/screw in the fuse of the electrical circuit of the UV-unit and check for the correct mains
voltage at the „metallic bridge“ of the wire-tap connectors (image 17).
4.
Remove the fuse of the UV-unit again.
5.
Close the 3 wire-tap connectors until they snap in (image 18).
6.
Make a „tensile test“ of the installed connectors.
b. Signal provided by flow sensor
1.
Make sure that the fuses of all relevant circuits (power supply UV-unit, flow sensor etc.)
have been removed.
2.
Connect the wires (strands) of the UV-unit to the power supply using the branch connectors
included in the scope of delivery according to image 18. Always observe the electrical
connection plan and the connection instructions included in the scope of delivery of the flow sensor.
3.
Plug/screw the removed fuses back in and check for the correct mains voltage at the
„metallic bridge“ of the branch connector (image 17) as well as at the plug of the flow sensor.
4.
Remove the fuses. Close the branch connectors until they snap into place (image 18).
6.
Perform a „pull test“ on the installed connectors.
