Marked Paper Specification
Make sure that the black marks of the marked paper are at positions where the paper end sensor can detect.
The black mark’s
reflectivity must be less than 15% while that of the other part of the paper should be more
than 85%. Should no design, for instance ads or such like, be printed on areas between marks. Sizes of the
mark shall meet the following requirements.
5mm
≤
L1
(
black mark width
)
≤
8mm
L2
(
black mark length
)
≥
10mm
30
mm
≤
L3 (black mark pitch)
≤
500mm
Caution:
☆
Please use recommended paper or its equivalents. Using other paper types would affect the print quality
and shorten print head life.
☆
Do not paste the paper to the core.
☆
If the paper is contaminated by a chemical or oil, it may discolor or lose heat sensitivity at the polluted
spot.
☆
Do not rub the paper surface strongly with a nail or hard metal. It may discolor.
☆
Discoloring starts when temperature is over 70°C. Be careful of effects of heat, humidity, light, and so on.
To enable mark function, please do the following
:
①
To set paper type to marked paper by FEED button configuring, the selection sequence is:
:
Configuration
Hardware Setting
Mark Sensor
Enabled
Save Settings
Then switch on printer again to effect the setting.
②
When Mark Sensor mode is enabled, the paper sensor will acted as a Mark Sensor. When it detect no
paper, it will not take it as a real no paper state but to take it as a sensor is in a position of black mark and
it will record the position of the black mark. Only when paper is fed continuously for 10mm (distance can
be set according to customer
’
s need) and still at no paper state, the sensor will detect as no paper. So at
marked paper mode, when printer is switched on with no paper, sensor will not detect this no paper state,
only when printer is feed for 10mm, the sensor will give no paper error.
③
When marked paper is used, except paper detection, other print commands remains the same as
continuous paper. In order to positioning by black mark, TH200 B-150 will use a command: GS FF
for paper feeding until the next black mark reaches the printing position.
④
The black mark can be printed on any side of the paper, but the mounting position of the Mark Sensor
must be specified before the printer is dispatched.
