Using the WebGUI interface of the POS Device HUB
60
BEETLE /moPOS "Getting Started"
Note: if not selected an internal "deprecated" interface is valid. Usually this setting
has to be set to "yes" to use the new interface.
•
The usage of tablet ID
:
Set “use Tablet ID from Docking Unit” to make the POS Device HUB using the tablet
ID of a docked tablet
•
The usage of iButton ID
:
Some POS Device HUBs may have also an iButton Reader assembled at the front as
option. Alternatively an external USB iButton Reader is an option. In case the radio
button “use iButton ID from Docking Unit” is set to “Yes” instead of using the tablet
ID the iButton ID is used for identifying a tablet and/or a user-assign tablet. Later one
may be a used in case iButtons are owned by users and are not assigned to individual
tablets.
The selection “use iButton to undock tablet” is an additional setting for this configu-
ration parameter and is mainly used only for demonstration purpose.
That is, if a tablet is docked you may undock the tablet by attaching any iButton to
the iButton Reader on the front of the POS Device HUB.

Security settings network ports
Here you can configure the setting of the fire wall of your POS Device HUB. Some network
ports are opened internally for usage with e.g. UDM, Admin Server and others. All other
ports are closed and cannot be accessed from outside. In case you are using plugins which
need additional network ports for communication you have to open those in this table.
