Network settings 

 

 

In this dialog you are able to change the network settings. 
IP address, IP netmask, IP gateway, DNS Server 1 and 2 are generated automatically, if the 

DHCP is activated. In the field “Network host name” you may assign a name of your choice. 

In the field “Network domain name” you should enter the domain name as used in your 

network infrastructure. 
Additionally you may change the network connection timeout conditions. These settings 

determine the timeout after then the network lower layer shall message the error to upper 

layered software in case a network connection is interrupted. The field “keep alive timeout” 

is a timeout value (measured in seconds) the lower level network driver stack shall wait until 

it tries to reconnect to the other network device. The field “number of probes” defines how 

often an attempt of reconnecting shall be performed. The field “interval between two 

probes” defines the wait timeout between two probes in case a previous reconnection
