Firmware Update via USB stick
The POS Device HUB additionally allows to update the Firmware from a USB stick.
You need to prepare a USB stick as follows:
name the file system with "MOPOS-FW".
That is, use this name as label for the file system of the USB stick.
(note: all letters need to be in upper case)
copy the firmware file of the POS Device HUB into the root directory on the USB
stick. The firmware file has to have the extension "img" (lower case characters)
make sure that only one *.img file is in the root directory
make sure that the USB Stick uses as file system VFAT (note: under Windows it is
named FAT32)
Then you may plugin the USB stick into the POS Device HUB at the rear side in one of the
USB ports and switch on the POS Device HUB.
The LED bar at the front of the POS Device HUB starts - after performing its initialization self
test - blinking in color blue to indicate the booting phase:

In case a USB stick has been found and is prepared following the rules as described above,
the POS Device HUB starts copying the firmware from the USB stick to the POS Device HUB
into a temporary directory. During copy process the LED bar switches to red blinking to indi-
cate the ongoing copy process:

After copying the complete FW file to the POS Device HUB the LED bar switches to blinking
red/green:
____________________________________________________________
It indicates the firmware file has been copied and USB stick is ready to be removed by the
technician. If not removed, the POS Device HUB remains in this stage and waits until the
stick has been removed. if removed, the firmware update process continues with the copied
file from USB stick. This may need some minutes. The LED bar switches back to red blinking
as above:

Now you may use the unplugged USB stick and plug in to the next POS Device HUB for up-
dating its firmware.
After firmware update the POS device HUB performs a reboot.
