Secure the carriage of the machine necessarily against unintentional driving by
chocks!
There will be noise exceeding 80 dB (A); it is obligatory to wear ear protection while
working with the machine!
•
Use safety gloves for the protection against combustion.
•
Keep a stop watch ready in order to determine the current times for heating and cooling.
•
Keep a table ready from which you may read the prescribed parameters for the pipe
dimension to be welded according to the welding regulations.
•
Make sure that the heating element surfaces are clean, especially free of grease; therefore
clean the heating surfaces prior to each welding resp. in case of contamination using lint-free
paper and detergent (e.g. PE cleaner).
•
Make sure that the anti-stick coating of the heating element is undamaged in the working
area.
•
Activate the main switch.
•
Adjust the heating element to the required welding temperature (reference value for PE: 200 –
220°C / 392 – 428°F) using the temperature regulator at the switch cabinet (chapter: 5.3).
•
Activate the pump at the operator panel (chapter: 4.2, no. 25).
Necessarily retain the clamping cylinders before you actuate the respective lever
for „release clamping lever“ in order that the cylinder may not swing downwards in
uncontrolled manner!
•
Release all clamping cylinders one after the other; shift levers
(1-4): to: <
>.
•
Open all clamping rings one after the other; shift levers
(1-4): to: <
>
•
If necessary insert the optional reducer inserts according to the outer pipe diameter to be
welded.
•
Put the pipes into the lower clamping rings; make sure that the pipes have enough overhang
to the inside for the planing.
•
Shut all clamping rings one after the other; shift levers (1-4):
to: <
>. Align the pipes to
each other. You may use WIDOS rollerstands in order to align longer pipes.
•
Swing manual all clamping cylinder into clamping ring upper parts, one after the other. Clamp
the clamping cylinders; shift levers (1-4):
to: <
>.
•
Drive the slides together, push the joystick for the slides to:
and read the
motion
pressure
from the pressure gauge. The motion pressure is indicated exactly when the slide
goes into its motion with the clamped pipe.
