Operation
Attention
If the battery is still installed in the car, disconnect the black battery connection
clamp (negative pole), then the red battery connection clamp (positive pole).
Car batteries may only be charged while not connected to the car’s electric
system.
Operation
1. Make sure that the charger is turned off. Set the ON/OFF switch (3) to
“OFF”.
2. Now connect the red (
+
) and then the black (
-
) battery clamp to the
battery.
3. Connect the power plug (4) of the charger to a 230 V AC wall socket.
4. Set the power plug (3) to
“ON”. The power indicator (7) lights up and will
start operating. If this will not happen, please check the fuse (6) at the
underside of the unit (See
“Changing of the Fuse”).
5. The LEDs of the charging state indicator (8) show you the actually
charging state. You will see the intended charging current on each red
LED (1 A, 2 A, 3 A and 5 A). If the battery to too spend, all of the 4 red
LEDs will light up. The more the battery is charged, the charging current
will decrease and one by one of the LED will turn off.
6. If the red LEDs turn off completely, the battery is fully charged.
