Do not fill the appliance over full. When cooking foods that expand during
cooking, such as rice or dried vegetables, do not fill the appliance over ½ full.
Overfilling may cause a risk of clogging the vent and developing excess
pressure. See “Using your Electric Pressure Cooker” section of this manual.
•
Be aware that certain foods, such as applesauce, cranberries, pearl barley,
oatmeal or other cereals, split peas, noodles, macaroni, rhubarb, or spaghetti
can foam, froth, and sputter, and clog the pressure release device (steam vent).
These foods should not be cooked in a pressure cooker.
•
Always check pressure release devices for clogging before use.
•
Do not open the pressure cooker until the unit has cooled and all internal
pressure has been released. If the lid is difficult to turn, this indicates that the
appliance is still pressurized. Do not force it open. Any pressure in the cooker
can be hazardous. See “Using your Electric Pressure Cooker” section of this
manual.
•
Do not use this appliance for pressure frying with oil.
•
For household use only.

pressure cooker and press up until it “locks” into place. Place flat side of spoon
holder against the pressure cooker, over the small bracket by the right hand side of
the base of the cooker. Align the tab of the spoon holder into the opening of the
