ngLEVELER control from DAW faders
ngLeveler can be also controller from DAW level, using DAW faders.
In that case ngLEVELER acts as HUI controller and Virtual MIDI ports have to be used
in order to properly communicate with DAW. There are few rules to keep in mind:
First 16 channels in DAW session have to be used to control one ngLEVELER
(there needs to be more channels if more ngLEVELERs will be used) – number of
used faders however depends on channel configuration, for more information
refer to
External controller and ngLEVELER(s) number of channels
Relative linking, and opposite linking are disabled in this mode (only true stereo
or true dual mono modes are allowed).
DAW ngLeveler plug-in (VST2/VST3/AAX/AU) have to be active all the time, in
order DAW to properly communicate with HW unit.
MUTE/SOLO – In this mode ngLEVELER acts as HUI controller, as it may be counter
intuitive at first, it will still allow us to control ngLEVELER parameters as intended.
However there is a limitation to be kept in mind - DAWs are treating solo/mute of
the controllers differently (for example Pro Tools is constantly blinking each MUTE
button of all channels when SOLO is engaged) there could be some issues with
solo and mute synchronization between ngLeveler and DAW. In this mode it is
