Bass To Lowest
[
Bass To Lowest
= Bass to the lowest position]
The same fingering applies as with Advanced Chord Mode, though in this mode the lowest note
of the chord is taken as the bass note. This enables you to put intended bass runs into your
accompaniment through your choice of chord inversions.
Building Chord Inversions:
•
Play the lowest note of the chord one octave (8 notes) higher
•
Repeat this procedure until the chord position is in a sensible part of the keyboard, usually F
– f#; f# is usually the split point between the melody and accompaniment sections of a
keyboard with a split point.
•
by moving the hand
highest note is likewise
played one octave lower.
Example:
Inversions Up
Inversions Down
C major – root position
= C - E - G
C - E - G
C major – 1st inversion
= E - G - C
G - C - E
C major – 2nd inversion
=
G - C - E
E - G - C
Music Tip:
To ensure that your music is easy to control, it is recommended that you choose a suitable
Style, which for the most part plays the same bass, rather than a bass with a changing pattern.
Example:
The fist two bars of “A Whiter Shade of Pale” (Procul Harem):

Bar 1 – beat 1: C - E – G (C (maj) + pedal note C)

N.B. The chord indicated in the display shows for example: C/G = C major chord on a G bass (C
on G).

Organist Mode
In this mode, the bass track (AccBass) is removed from the accompaniment.
This
means that you play the bass notes yourself on the bass pedals.
The remaining accompaniment tracks (Acc1 – Acc5) are played in part in the octave
position and chord inversion you play.
You hear therefore exactly what you play in the accompaniment section. The harmony
indication in the display (“On Bass”) is just for general information.
The accompaniment tracks (Acc1 – Acc5) only play for as long as a chord is played
and
held
in the accompaniment section.
Drums 1 & 2 still continue to play.
