NOTE:

The side panels have a notch in the bottom front corner, and a groove in the rear to receive the back panel.

1. If a Full-Length Cabinet Door (wood or grille) will be installed:

a.

Lay the side panels flat, with their outside surface up.

b.

See Detail A.

Use a plastic mallet to pound 8-32 screw inserts (#10 oyster) into the twelve holes (four sets) located

The inserts will be used later for the door striker plate screws. See pages 64 - 66.

2.

See Detail C.

Turn the side panels so their inside surface is up. Install shelf clips (#17) into the inside surface of both side panels and

both sides of the center panels.

NOTE:

The panels are large and hard to keep aligned when you attach them together with screws. Because of this, in several of

the following steps you will  be told to “peg” the parts first by inserting wood dowels (#6). These dowels fit snugly into existing

"-diameter holes in the panels, and may have to be tapped into place.

3. Insert wood dowels into the side edges of the top panel (#20), the top edge and notch of the center panels, and the backside of the

front stretcher panel (#25).

4. Turn the side panels on edge, with their front edges down. With the wood dowels, peg the side panels to the top panel. Then attach

the side panels to the side edges of the top panel with 2" hex-socket screws (#2 oyster). Tighten the screws using the allen wrench

or bit packed with these instructions.

5.

See Detail D.

Refer to detail to determine the bottom of the back panel assembly.

6.

See Detail E.

Hold the back panel so the three rear stretcher panels are up, and slide it into the groove on the side and top panels.

7. Attach the three rear stretcher panels to the side panels, using 2" hex-socket screws (#2 oyster).

8. Peg the cross stretcher panel to the bottom rear stretcher panel, then peg the front stretcher panel to it. Peg the front stretcher panel

to the notch in the side panels.

9. Turn the cabinet face-up, and check that it is square. Tighten all screws in the cabinet.

bottom edge of the side panels, about 2" from the corners.

11. Attach the front stretcher panel to the notch in the side panels. Insert the wood dowels (#6) into the holes in the side panels.

prevent scratching the side panels.

15. Rest the upper shelf on its rear clips, and attach its support tube to the side panels using 35 mm hex-socket screws (#1).
