NOTE:
The side panels have a notch in the bottom front corner, and a groove in the rear to receive the back panel.
1. If Two Full-Length Cabinet Doors, or Double Compartment Doors will be installed:
a.
Lay the side panels (#22 and 23) flat, with their outside surface up (the full length groove in the rear should be down).
b.
See Detail A.
Use a plastic mallet to pound 8-32 screw inserts (#10 oyster) into the holes located approximately
19
/
32
" and 1
3
/
8
"
from the front edge of both panels. The inserts will be used later for hinge screws (there are three holes per hinge). See pages 58 - 61.
c.
There are holes in each side panel that will be used in steps 13 and 15 below for shelf support bar screws (two holes per shelf
in each side panel). Use a plastic mallet to pound
1
/
4
-20 screw inserts (#9 oyster) into these holes.
NOTE:
The panels are large and hard to keep aligned when you attach them together with screws. Because of this, in several
of the following steps you will be told to “peg” the parts first by inserting wood dowels (#6). These dowels fit snugly into existing
5
/
16
"-diameter holes in the panel, and may have to be tapped into place.
2. Insert wood dowels into the side edges of the top panel (#20), the back side of the bottom front stretcher panel (#25), and the top
edge of the top front stretcher panel (#48).

3. Turn the side panels on edge, with their front edges down. With the wood dowels, peg the side panels to the top panel. Then attach
the side panels to the side edges of the top panel and the ends of the top front stretcher panel with 2" hex-socket screws (#2 oyster).
Tighten the screws using the allen wrench or bit packed with these instructions.
4.
See Detail D.
Refer to detail to determine the bottom of the back panel assembly.
5.
See Detail E
.
Hold the back panel so the three rear stretcher panels are up, and slide it into the groove on the side and top panels.
6. Attach the three rear stretcher panels to the side panels, using 2" hex-socket screws (#2 oyster).
7. Peg the bottom front stretcher panel to the notch in the side panels.
8. Turn the cabinet face-up, and check that it is square. Tighten all screws in the cabinet.

9. To protect corners and edges while moving the cabinet into place, push or hammer plastic tack glides (#13, not shown) into the
bottom edge of the side panels, about 2" from the corners.
10. Attach the front stretcher panel to the notch in the side panels. Insert the wood dowels (#6) into the holes in the side panels.
11.
See Detail F
.
Using
5

8
" pan-head screws (#4), attach leveler brackets (#16) to the inside of the side panels. Attach the
other edge of the brackets to the front or rear stretcher panel.
After the brackets are attached, screw the levelers in so the plastic glides extend slightly further than the bottom of the levelers.

13. If doors will be installed,
see Detail K
:
•
If double full-length doors will be installed, attach the bumper assembly (#62) to the center two holes in the support bar (#43),
using 45 mm hex-socket screws (#56) and nuts (#67). Use this assembly in the front bottom shelf support position, and use
one support bar (#43) at the rear bottom shelf support position. Use support bars (#43) in the front and rear upper shelf
support positions.
•
If double compartment doors will be installed, attach the bumper assembly (#62) to the center two holes in a support bar (#43),
using 45 mm hex-socket screws (#56) and nuts (#67). At each shelf location, use this assembly in the front support position,
and use one support bar (#43) at the rear support position.
14. If doors will not be installed:
•
Using
5
/
8
" button-head hex-socket screws (#46 oyster) into the screws inserts installed in step 1c above, attach shelf support
bars (#43) to the side panels for the upper shelves (two for each shelf).
15. Set the
top
shelf (#29) on the
top
support bars. Align the clearance holes in the front support bar with the three pilot holes on the front
bottom side of the shelf and attach the shelf and support bar with three pan head screws (#57).
Tighten screws snugly but do not
over tighten (use care with power screwdrivers).
Align the two outside clearance holes on the rear support bar to the pilot holes on
the shelf bottom rear and fasten with two pan head screws (#57). Repeat this procedure with the middle shelf of Cabinet #12.

" socket or wrench.
Refer to the leveling procedure on page 58.
17.
See Detail B
.
Install the bottom shelf by applying five velcro strips (#74) to the front and rear support bars. Remove the paper backing
from the velcro strips and place the shelf onto the shelf supports and against the cabinet back panel. This shelf can be removed for
additional leveling.
18. To attach doors, refer to pages 59 - 67.
19. To attach two or more cabinets together, and to secure the cabinet(s) to the back wall, refer to pages 68 - 70.
