Detecting worn out surge protective devices: if the remote alert of a Weidmüller
SPD is wired to a digital input of the Transclinic, the Modbus client can detect SPD
cartridges that reached the end of their life.
• Detecting DC switch-disconnectors accidentally left open after a maintenance session
(a switch-disconnector with a dry contact must be used).
• Detecting combiner boxes with internal hot spots: thanks to the temperature
measurement function of the Transclinic, an accidental hot spot (i.e. a loose
connection) inside a combiner box can be remedied before it becomes a fire accident.
• Prioritizing maintenance actions: by combining all the measurements above, the
maintenance staff can better decide what tasks in the DC side have higher priority
due to the lost energy production or the risk level.

If the Transclinic is used in a manner not specified by Weidmüller, the
protection provided by the equipment may be impaired.

This equipment shall not be used for measurements on mains circuits.
