Accessible IP
An IP address-based filtering method to control access to Weidmueller switches.
Accessible IP Settings allows you to add or remove
Legal
remote host IP addresses to prevent
unauthorized access. Access to the Weidmueller switch is controlled by IP addresses. That is, if a
host’s IP address is in the accessible IP table, then the host will be allowed access to the device. You
can allow one of the following cases by setting this parameter

Only one host with the specified IP address can access the IE-SW-VL08M
E.g., enter “192.168.1.1/255.255.255.255” to allow access to
just
the IP address 192.168.1.1.
y
Any host on a specific sub network can access the IE-SW-VL08M
E.g., enter “192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0” to allow access to all IPs on the sub network defined by
this IP address/netmask combination.
