Discovering a new Firebox Vclass appliance

Installation Guide

If an appliance is found

When a discovery has been made, the

Devices Found

window appears,

displaying all discovered appliances with their model and serial
numbers, as shown here.

This window offers the following features:

- A large list area that displays all of the appliances discovered in

the local subnet. In this case, only your new Firebox Vclass
appliance will be listed. You can set interface

(Private) IP

addresses or import profiles into more than one appliance all at
the same time.

- A collection of options that enable you to (1) set the identity of a

selected appliance’s Private interface or (2) import an existing
appliance profile into a selected device.

The 0 interface IP address assignment task is detailed in the following
section. This task is what you would perform with an all-new
appliance.
