Weighing equipment
Description
The weighing equipment comprises the following
units:
•
A scale unit located inside the machine’s right
side panel
•
Four load cells, one in each corner of the frame
•
Wiring
The weight of the wash load is registered by the
four load cells, which send analogue signals to
the scale unit. In the scale unit the signals are
processed and converted to a weight value in an
analogue-digital converter. The weight value is
transmitted via a serial interface to the CPU
board. The weight is then shown on the display.
Weighing the load allows the water level to be
adjusted automatically according to the actual
weight of the load, i.e. the water level is reduced
during washing if the machine does not have a full
load. The consumption of water and energy can
thus be reduced.
Safety rules
The weighing equipment is a precision measuring
device and must be treated as such.
•
Never spray water directly onto the load cells
and scale unit.
•
The load cells are vulnerable to impact.
•
The load cells are potentially vulnerable if
welding is carried out. If welding has to be
done on the washer extractor, attach the earth
cable clamp as close as possible to the
welding site.
After a power-cut
When the power is restored after a power-cut, the
weight displayed will always be 0, no matter
whether there is a load in the drum or not. If this
happens, it is important that you use the “Reset
weighing equipment” function via the Clarus
software. Follow the instructions under “Reset
weighing equipment” in the “Machine operation”
section of the manual.
After a power-cut, the weighing equipment
will always display 0, no matter what the
actual load in the drum. In this event you will
have to use the “Reset weighing equipment”
function.
