9 Sample Signal Curves for Communication with a
Superordinate Control Unit
Figure 17 shows you a sample signal curve for an application with parameters from the first set of
parameters which was triggered by a single pulse.
First you select the desired parameter set.
Changes to the digital inlet signal „MUX_1“ and „MUX_2“ will be made as shown below. The application
process with the depicted application time will be activated when the signal changes the “Start“ digital
inlet signal LOW
HIGH. At the same time the digital outlet signal “Finished“ will change to LOW. This
indicates that the application cycle is carried out. When the application cycle – triggered by a single
pulse – is finished, this will be indicated by resetting the “Finished“ digital outlet signal. The digital outlet
signal “Ready” was also set to LOW at the start of the application, and it will be set to HIGH again only
if all conditions for another application start are met. This also implies the resetting of the “Start” digital
inlet signal, as shown in figure 17. The maximum time delay is 1 ms; this delay results from establishing
the required conditions for the application start and displaying the operational readiness by “Ready” =
HIGH.
Figure 18 – Signal curve for carrying out an application cycle which was triggered by a single pulse; digital inlet
signal “Start“ is applied beyond the duration of the application.
