Walkabout Mother Bin Operator Manual

20174000r1 (04-2022)

TOP VERTICAL AUGER DEPTH ADJUSTMENT 

1.  Unfold auger.
2.  Loosen the locking collar (4) on top bearing “B”
3.  Tap on the end of the auger shaft (5) with a rubber hammer to ensure top auger 

is properly seated on the lower auger drive lug and rotate several times.

4.  Tighten the locking collar (4) on top bearing.

SWEEP AUGER ALIGNMENT

If the augers were removed for service or replacement an alignment may be required. Preseason checks are also an important 

preventative measure. Below are the steps for aligning both the vertical and horizontal augers.

DIRECTIONS

1.  Leave front drag auger section with middle hanger bearing so that the drive shaft is aligned to the gearbox input (show on 

Fig. B).

2.  Level rear drag auger section with the front by adjusting the bearing housing on the rear of the cart using the adjustable rear 

bolts (shown on Fig. C)

3. 

Rotate auger flighting to ensure it turns smoothly and does not hit anywhere. Adjust if necessary.
