2.8 TOWING THE BIN
1. The PTO controller must be in the OFF position.
2. The unloading auger must be folded in the stored position.
IMPORTANT
Be sure the bin is properly set up as described in 2.6 PRE-OPERATION CHECKLIST. Be sure the bin is properly
connected as described in 2.7 CONNECTING TO THE TRACTOR.
3. All hydraulic leavers must be in the neutral position.

The Walkabout Mother Bin will handle differently behind tow vehicles based on their size, tires and suspensions.
5. When towing the Mother Bin the following procedures must be followed.
- Travel at a safe speed. Traffic can be a major factor affecting a safe operating speed.
- Road conditions can affect the Mother Bin and tow vehicle handling. Reduce speed if any environmental or
weather conditions inhibit traction or visibility.
- The bin will increase the distances require to stop, safely follow, turn or maneuver.
6. Do not make sudden movement, braking, accelerating, turning or changing lanes. The sudden movement of the
tow vehicle can cause the bin to shift and cause the bin or tractor to become unstable which can cause a hazard to
property, injuries or death.
7. Park the tow vehicle and bin on level ground as close to the equipment to be filled or emptied as safely as possible.
8. Allow space around the Mother Bin for vehicles to enter and exit when filling the bin or being emptied.
9. Set the park brake, turn the tow vehicle engine OFF and remove the key from the ignition switch.
DANGER
DO NOT
use rear steering above 3 mph. Failure to do so can cause bin to steer into oncoming traffic or ditch, causing
injury or death.
IMPORTANT
Regularly check if the steering indicator matches the rear sterring.
DANGER
It is not recommended to use a tracked or articulating tractor. The steering will cause the bin to become unsafe when
towing.
