Adjusting range of slats (total travel range)
There is a mechanical dead time between the initial movement of the SMI drives
and the initial reaction of the slats caused by tensioning the belt straps of the
shutter that depends on the design of the shutter.
The SMI master module allows you to configure compensation for the
mechanical dead time for upwards movements.
After positioning the shutters and slats, the actual positions are determined,
converted to shutter position and slat position in percentage and returned in the
process data image.
If several drives are masked at the same time (see section “Process
Image” > … > “Addressing SMI Drives”), the actual position of the drive is output
with the highest address.
