Error Handshake
The error handshake is run in the user program as follows:
Figure 42: Timing Diagram for the Error Handshake
1.
If an error occurs on the fieldbus coupler, it first sets the RX(m+n)B flag
(Remote station ready) back to ‘0’.
2.
It then sets the RX(m+n)A flag (Error state) to ‘1’ to indicate the error.
3.
The user program on the master sets the RY(m+n)A flag (Error reset
request) to ‘1’ to request an error correction.
4.
Once the error has been resolved, the fieldbus sets the RX(m+n)A flag
(Error state) back to ‘0’.
5.
The user program on the master also sets the RY(m+n)A request flag
(Error reset request) back to ‘0’.
6.
By setting the RX(m+n)B flag (Remote station ready) to ‘1’, the fieldbus
then indicates that communication has been restored.
