6.10.3.3 MULTI-SEGMENT MEASURING OPERATION
With the CSL710, the total scan length can be split into 4 segments. These are communicated
to the control unit as 4 digital signals. These 4 segments may be selected to be equal, unequal
or overlapping.
To activate this function, the number of beams for correct input must be known
(see Chapter 5.12 ).
Example of a CSL710 1590/20 light curtain with 80 beams with division into
4 non-overlapping segments of the same height.

for each output (1–4). See "Individual-segment measuring operation" description.

Output 2 = IO pin5, positive PNP, area output, normal, OR; start beam 21, end beam 40
Output 3 = IO pin6, positive PNP, area output, normal, OR; start beam 41, end beam 60
