All external edges and corners are
rounded with a radius not less than
2.5mm.
Council Directive 89/297/EEC Lateral protection device
ECE R-73 Lateral protection device
The OptiFlow system fulfi lls the function
of the “Lateral Protection device”
according ECE R-73. The MidSkirts in
front of the fi rst wheel withstand a lateral
force of 1000N on the pillars with a max.
defl ection of 50mm.
Type approval with the approval number
E4-73R-010069 is available for the lateral
protection device.
ECE R-48 Light (side markers)
Where distances according ECE R-48 are
observed through the use of additional
side markers, especially:

max. distance from fi rst side marker to
front of vehicle => 3m

max. distance from last side marker to
back of vehicle => 1m
