– Check position of copper coloured chain links to adjustment
markings.
Note
The copper coloured chain links no longer align with the adjust‐
ment markings once the crankshaft has been turned.
– Install chain tensioner for camshaft timing chain -arrow-.
Specified torque: 50 Nm.
– Remove camshaft bar - T10068 A- and tighten bolt of camshaft
adjuster. Specified torque: 60 Nm +
1
/4 turn (90°)
Note
Only counterhold at camshaft with 27 mm open-end spanner
-arrow-. The camshaft bar - T10068 A- must not be fitted when
camshaft adjuster is loosened or tightened.
Further assembly is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
