3. Press the number of the handset that you want to transfer the call to

Note:
At this point, you are basically speaking with the other handset with the phone system’s intercom feature.
You would tell the person on the other handset that you have someone on hold and you are going to transfer
the call to him/her.
4. Press the
button to transfer the call you have put on hold to the other handset
or
If the other handset does not want to receive the call, press the
button and you can continue talking to the
person you had put on hold.
Note:
•
If you do not press the handset number within 2 seconds after pressing the
button from the Base Unit, the
system will automatically transfer the call to the preferred ringing handset.
•
If you do not press the handset number within 2 seconds after pressing the
button from the Portable
Handset, the system will automatically transfer the call to the base unit.
•
If you transfer the call and the person you transferred it to do not answer within 30 seconds, the Base Unit or
Portable Handset that the transfer originated from will ring.
•
If you transfer the call and the person you transferred it to do not receive it, you can talk to the person who you
tried to transfer by pressing the
button.

Channels
Setting Channel Group On Base Unit Or Portable Handset
There are 10 channels within 1 channel group and there are a total of 8 channel groups. Your Base Unit and your
Portable Handset must be set on the same channel group in order for them to communicate with each other.
You might want to change the channel group on your phone if you are consistently experiencing interference from
other cordless phones in your area. You may also want to change the channel group if you want to limit which Portable
Handset(s) communicates with which Base Unit(s) within your organization. For example, this would help control how
many Portable Handsets can have access to a particular phone line.
You can change the channel group by:
1. Press
button.
2. Press

buttons until you reach the
screen.
