a) general Information
Apart from occasional cleaning and battery replacement, the IR thermometer requires no servicing.
Always observe the following safety information before cleaning the device.
b) Cleaning the Lens
Remove loose particles with clean compressed air and wipe off any other deposits with a fine lens brush. Clean the
surface with a lens cleaning cloth or a clean, soft and lint-free cloth. To clean finger prints and other grease strains,
the cloth can be moistened with water or a lens cleaning fluid. Do not use any acid-, alcohol-containing or other
solvents and do not use any rough, linty cloth to clean the lens. Avoid excessive pressure when cleaning.
c) Cleaning the housing
Do not use any abrasive, chemical or aggressive cleaning media such as petrols, alcohols or similar for cleaning.
They will damage the surface of the device. Furthermore, the fumes are hazardous to your health and explosive.
Also do not use any sharp-edged tools, screwdrivers, metal brushes, etc. for cleaning.
Use a clean, lint-free, antistatic, slightly damp cloth for cleaning the device or the display or the probe.
d) Inserting and Changing the Battery
First insert the enclosed battery at initial commissioning. To open the battery compartment lid, push the unlocking
button (10) at the bottom of the device. The battery compartment lid is unlocked. Fold open the battery compartment
lid (3) forwards. Connect the battery.
For a battery change, remove the flat battery from the battery clip and connect a new battery of the same type to
the battery clip with the correct polarity. The battery clip is designed so that the battery can only be connected in the
correct polarity. Do not use any force when plugging on the battery.
Close the battery compartment again by folding shut the battery compartment lid (3). Observe that the cables are
not caught and the lock latches.
Replace the battery if the battery icon (7G) in the display shows less than two fill level dashes.
