Notes on the bottom-most illustration of figure 5:
The top line (line 1), left, indicate battery type (LiPo for Lithium Polymer) and cell number
3S (S = Serial for 3-cell rechargeable battery). On the right, the overall voltage (sum of all
cell voltages) is displayed in V.
The lines below (lines 2 - 5) display the voltage values of the individual cells (1 - 8). In
case of un-assigned balancer connections (for rechargeable batteries with less than 8
cells), the respective values are displayed as 0.000.
Line 6 shows the battery’s charge state in %. A bar chart on the right of it illustrations the
value again. The higher the charge state, the longer the bar chart. The display range goes
from E (E = “Empty”) to fully charged F (F = “Full”).
Line 7 shows the battery’s balance state in %. A bar chart on the right of it illustrations the
value again. The lower the voltage difference between the individual cells, the longer the
bar chart. The display range goes from X (very high voltage differences) to 0 (no voltage
differences).
¼
Please observe that the voltage differences of the individual cells may be rather large
in a discharged battery.
This should, however, be easy to fix by charging the battery using a balancer.
The bottom-most line displays the largest and smallest voltage value of the individual cells
and the voltage difference between the two cells.
