To measure the power data of an electric drive, proceed as follows:
First, take into operation the remote control transmitter and switch on the power supply to
the receiver system (if present separately). Connect the 7 in 1 multimeter according to the
pattern indicated above.
Call the item “WATT METER” in the menu structure and
activate the selection with “ENTER”.
The display shows the following values now:
Present current “CURRENT”
Peak current “PEAK (C)”
Drive battery voltage “VOLTAGE”
Current power “WATTAGE”
Peak power “PEAK (W)”
Energy “Energy”
Capacity “Charge”
When you start up the drive motor via the remote
control now, you can read the current values.
Use the “BACK/ESC” button to exit the power measure-
ment function and return to the menu structure.
¼
Pressing the “ENTER” button for 3 seconds while measuring power will calibrate all
measured values to “0”. The display shows “Current = X.XX” and “Clear complete”
(see bottom-most illustration in figure 9). Then disconnect the 7 in 1 multimeter from
the voltage source and connect it again after a brief break. The current and power
values should be set to 0.00 now.
This way, e.g., the current value for the receiver and servos can be ignored, and only
the pure motor current is measured.
