12. SERVO TESTER
The servo test function can be used for quickly telling if a servo is running cleanly and
without interruption from one end stop to the other. Gear problems or servo potentiometer
outages can be quickly recognised this way.
Alternatively, correct function of servo-driven linkages, retractable chassis or other me-
chanics can be verified easily even while building the model. Electrical speed adjusters
can also be controlled easily.
Servos (1) with JR- or Futaba connec-
tion can be plugged in directly to the
servo connection of the 7 in 1 multimeter
(also see figure 2, item 5). The servo’s
impulse line (2) must be connected to
the right of the three plug contacts. For
other plug systems, such as multiplex,
matching adapter cables must be made.
The current supply to the 7 in 1 multim-
eter for the servo test function is pro-
vided by a rechargeable battery con-
nected to the balancer connection (3).
The servo can be adjusted either
manually with the setting wheel (4) or
automatically.
