Remove front engine mount bracket. If timing belt is to be reused, mark direction of rotation on belt.

Loosen timing belt tensioner nut. Remove timing belt. See
Fig. 26
. Rotate crankshaft
counterclockwise slightly to ensure pistons are not at TDC.
