the slot number is included in the password prompt for a slot other than Slot 0.
For example:
Enter username for V150 Slot 1:
there is no user account log for slots other than Slot 0.
Accounts are enabled if there is at least one account configured which has:
administrator access rights; and
has had a password configured.
Password entry is in a conventional format, with the entry being asterisked out and
password setting requiring re-entry for confirmation. The password is case-sensitive.
If you forget your configured password there is a backdoor mechanism to get you back
in. This backdoor is the Superuser password - it is unique for each unit, and consists of
an encrypted key based on the serial number. Once entered, the user is given
Administrator privileges to allow him/her to change the password of any other account.
A Superuser password can only be supplied by contacting your local Vocality support
team.
Please be prepared to supply your name, company name and the serial number of the
unit. For security purposes this backdoor may be disabled by disabling
FORGOTTEN PASSWORD RECOVERY in the
Users > User General menu
.
If you are prepared to lose your configuration information, you can alternatively Factory
