Place the alternator on its back on a bench with the pulley facing up.

Align the VMAC main bracket over the top of the alternator, with the mating
surface facing down. Lower the bracket over the alternator (Figure 47)

Pull the alternator up and rotate it counter clockwise until the alternator mount
holes are aligned with the VMAC bracket (Figure 48).
