Raise the battery box and straps into position. The rear battery box mount
straddles the park brake cable standoff bracket or the body mount (dependent
upon the vehicle model / frame) (Figure 75 / Figure 76).

Install the backing straps and tighten the assembly to the frame to prevent the
bracket from shifting.

Torque the mounting fasteners to specification.
The rear battery box mounting location may vary dependent
on vehicle configuration and the location of body mounts, cross
members, etc. VMAC recommends keeping the battery as far
forward as possible to keep the battery cables as short as possible.
Ensure the battery mounts and fasteners will not crimp or pinch any
wire harness or brake lines that run along the top of the frame rail.
Run the fasteners below any harness / brake lines.
