Stopping the engine
1. Let the engine run at idle speed for a few minutes, to
allow it to cool down;
2.
Put the ON/OFF switch to “STOP” position;
Avoid suddenly stopping the engine when it is running
at high speed, as it may damage the equipment.
Stop the engine immediately only in the event of
imminent or emergency danger by setting the
"ON/OFF" switch to
"0” position;
Adjusting the engine rotation speed
After starting, the engine is running at an intermediate
speed between idle and maximum speed.
When using the machine continuously, with the throttle
trigger lockout pressed, the engine runs at a constant
intermediate speed.
The engine speed is set by means of the throttle lever.
1. If the throttle lever is not pressed, the engine runs at
idle speed;
2. With the throttle lever fully pressed, the engine
reaches its maximum speed;
Adapt the engine speed to the type of work you are
going to do. Remember, the higher the engine speed,
the greater the noise and fuel consumption.
Fuel
The engine must run on a mixture of unleaded petrol
and 2-stroke engine oil in the ratio of 1: 30 (1 liter of oil
for 2 stroke engines for each 30L of petrol).
1. Place the 2-stroke engine oil in a fuel-approved tank;
2. Add petrol to 2-stroke engine oil;
3. Place the tank cap and shake it thoroughly to mix the
oil with petrol;
Unsuitable fuels or with a different ratio than
recommended may lead to irreversible damage to the
engine. Petrol or oil of low quality can damage the
engine, gaskets, hoses and the fuel tank.
Keep the fuel mixture in proper and adequate
tanks in a safe, dry, cool place protected from
sunlight. Fuel mixture ages; mix only the amount
needed for a few weeks. Do not store or use fuel with
more than 30 days.
Shake the mixture fuel container before refueling the
fuel tank.
Pressure may form inside the tank, for this reason
it shall be opened carefully. Avoid direct skin
contact and inhalation of flammable vapours.
When refilling the fuel tank, do not add petrol above the
maximum level of the filler cap.
MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
Before any maintenance or cleaning work, place
the equipment on a levelled surface, switch off the
engine and pull out the spark plug cap.
Never touch the exhaust, spark plug, or other
metal parts of the engine while the engine is
running or immediately after turning off the engine.
This can lead to severe burns or electric shock;
Air filter cleaning
Dirty air filters reduce engine power, increase fuel
consumption and make starts more difficult.
1. Remove the cover (M) and the filter (N);
2. Blow the filter with compressed air until it is
completely clean.
The use of a dirty filter will limit the air flow in the
carburetor affecting the performance of the appliance;
Fuel filter cleaning
1. Empty the fuel tank;
2. Remove the fuel line hose from inside the tank and
remove the filter;
3. Blow the filter with compressed air until it is
completely clean. If it does not allow effective cleaning
or is damaged, replace it;
Cylinder fins cleaning
Clean the cylinder fins with compressed air or a brush
periodically. Dangerous overheating of engine may
occur due to impurities on the cylinder.
