Configuring a leased line interface
The Leased Line (LL) interface provides a 2- or 4-wire analogue interface. The behaviour
of the interface depends on the application using it. The interface can currently be used
with two applications: Terminal Server or CESoPSN.
The LL interface has the device name ‘ttyLC0’.
45.1
Terminal Server: V.23 modem emulation
When used with the Terminal Server application the LL interface enables a V.23 modem
emulation. The V.23 modem emulation passes the decoded modem call data to the
terminal server application.
Note: gain and attenuation cannot currently be controlled when operating in V.23
modem emulation mode.
45.2
CESoPSN: transparent mode
When used with CESoPSN, the PCM encoded data is passed transparently to the
application which then encapsulates in CESoPSN data packets.
45.3
Gain and attenuation control
The LL interface provides you with the possibility to adjust the gain and attenuation. The
following diagram shows the signal flow and the options available to control it.
