13.2 get

13.2.1 Syntax

get <remote_file> [local_file]

13.2.2 Scope:

Client mode only.

13.2.3 Description

The

get

command requests TFTP to retrieve a file from the remote host

previously specified using the

connect

command.

Only files that fit within the file storage area within the session data
(currently 8K) can be retrieved. This means that it not possible to
initiate a software update from the client.

By default the file is named locally as the remote filename but by
specifying a second filename an implicit rename is performed.
