Step 3
Once all the screws in steps 1 and 2 have been
removed, lift the DVD drive housing and remove it
from the main rear panel.
Step 4
Pull out the DVD drive carefully from its position. The
DVD drive will have two cables (power and SATA
cables) connected to it.
NOTE
Do not exert too much force when pulling out the
DVD drive since the length of the cables are limited
and too much force can damage the cables and/or
connectors and the cables may also come loose from
the mainboard.
Step 5
Looking at the rear of the DVD drive, remove the
power cable and SATA cable from the DVD drive.
