Diagnostic Functions Routine
Running the Diagnostic Test
The diagnostic test was designed to cycle the
Mini Dome through all its functions. A cycle
consists of a specific series of steps which are
initiated for predefined dwell periods. Each
step is displayed on the viewing monitor.
Completion of each step can be confirmed by
simultaneously comparing the monitor prompts
with the actual action of the Mini Dome. The
cycle is repeated indefinitely until operator
intervention occurs. The cycle steps are as
follows:
To run the built-in diagnostic it is necessary to disassemble the dome. Refer to the Section “Disassembling
the Mini Dome” for specific instructions.
1. Set the RUN/SERVICE Switch to the RUN position.
2. Disassemble the Mini Dome.
3. Set switches 1,2 and 3 of DIP Switch 5 (S5) to the ON position.
4. Reinstall the Drive into the Housing. Refer to Section “Installing the Drive Mechanism” to continue.
5. Set the RUN/SERVICE switch to the SERVICE position. The Mini Dome runs its power-up test and
immediately runs the diagnostic test. The diagnostic test continues to loop until the RUN/SERVICE
Switch is set back to the RUN position. See Table 5 for the exact diagnostic routine.
To disable the diagnostic test and return the Mini Dome back to normal operation, place the RUN/SERVICE
switch back to the RUN position, remove the Drive, reset the DIP switches, reinstall the Drive and place the
switch into the SERVICE position.
