travel
Hitch the round baler to the tractor, see Section
4.3 for drawbar adjustment,
Mount the universal drive shaft, see Section 4.4,
prevent from turning incorrectly by using the
retaining chain,
Connect up all hydraulic hoses and power supply
cables,
Turn prop stand up to the limit stop, remove safety
pin, fold up prop stand, fit safety pin at the bottom
and secure by R-clip.
Before driving off, raise the pick-up hydraulically
as far as it will go.
When driving around tight corners, make sure that
deviation is no greater than 80° on the wide-angle
of the universal drive shaft (on the tractor).
Otherwise there is a danger of breakage during
operation or when at a standstill.
It is not allowed to transport a bale inside the
chamber! When leaving the field the last bale has
to be kicked out.
5.9
Operation in the field
Extensive protection against possible accidents is
provided by the round baler. However, sufficient care
and caution should be taken when working with the
machine. Checks should be made each time the
machine is used to see that all protective devices are
mounted and intact.
Danger!
Never repair functional errors during
operation. Particular care should be taken
when opening and closing the tailgate. No
persons may remain in the tailgate
swinging range. Shut the hydraulic shut-
off tap before entering the bale chamber.
