File Almanacs Function Window
The File Almanacs Function Window is used to manage the Almanac files stored in the
GPSG-1000 and to manage the Almanac file used during the simulation.

NOTE:
Only the almanac used for GPS simulations can be updated, the
Galileo almanac is fixed and cannot be modified.
Control Component
Description
Load Almanac
Opens the Load Almanac Window. Select Almanac file and
press Open to load Almanac file for use in GPS simulations.
Selected file name will be displayed in the Current Almanac
File Window.
Manage Almanacs
Opens the Manage Almanacs Window. Press Save to save the
Current Almanac File to the Almanac file list. To delete a
saved Almanac file, select Almanac file from list and press
Delete.
GPS Rx
Opens the GPS Rx page and begins an almanac download
from the GPS constellation.
Default
Loads the default system almanac for use.
The default almanac is from GPS week 574, dated Aug. 22,
2010.
Clear Almanacs
Deletes ALL user created almanac files stored in the unit.
Import from USB
Copies almanac files from a USB drive to the internal storage
area of GPSG-1000.
Export to USB
Copies all almanac files from the internal storage area of
GPSG
-
1000 to a USB drive.
